$25.00

Prepared microscope slide: Erysiphe t.s. host asci. Blumeria is a genus of fungus. Many members of this genus are plant pathogens and are causative of powdery mildew on cereals and other grasses. Blumeria were previously called erysiphe.

Kingdom: Fungi / Division: Ascomycota / Class: Leotiomycetes / Order: Erysiphales / Family: Erysiphaceae / Genus: Blumeria .

*The Pedersen Dual Quarter Wave Technique (PDQWT) involves placing over the source of illumination a pair of one quarter wave polarizing surfaces that are rotated, one against the other, to control the amount of back light on a prepared microscope slide.

This slide was prepared by Harris Biological Supplies # B.2-313. It has been used in an unknown classroom setting. From the quality of the work, and the general appearance, it is estimated to have been prepared prior to 1960.
