*The Pedersen Dual Quarter Wave Technique (PDQWT) involves placing over the source of illumination a pair of one quarter wave polarizing surfaces that are rotated, one against the other, to control the amount of back light on a prepared microscope slide.
This slide was prepared by Harris Biological Supplies # B.5-205. It has been used in an unknown classroom setting. From the quality of the work, and the general appearance, it is estimated to have been prepared prior to 1960.
