*The Pedersen Dual Quarter Wave Technique (PDQWT) involves placing over the source of illumination a pair of one quarter wave polarizing surfaces that are rotated, one against the other, to control the amount of transmitted light on a prepared microscope slide.
This slide is of unknown origin. It has been used in an unknown classroom setting. From the quality of the work, and the general appearance, it is estimated to have been prepared prior to 1950.
